While modern Patek Philippe watches are growing larger and larger, the reference 3939 is a nod to classical styling and sizing. At its 34mm diameter, Patek's master watchmakers had their work cut out for them, to build a minutes repetition and tourbillon caliber that would fit into this case size. However, they succeeded with aplomb, and the reference 3939 is a very important and rare wristwatch.
Case is 18k white gold with a polished finish. Caselines are extremely clean with no superfluous design touches. Sapphire front and display back crystals.
Dial is white enamel with applied 18k white gold Breguet style numerals and hands (also called Pomme hands). Subsidiary seconds dial.
